Looking in the Mirror and Recognising the Woman I Still Am
There comes a point in many women’s lives when we begin taking care of everyone except ourselves. Family, the home, work, meetings, children, responsibilities and that endless list of things to do always seem to come first.
I know this because many of the women who visit my aesthetics clinic in Dukinfield, Tameside, tell me exactly the same thing.
They are not looking to become someone else. Nor do they want an artificial-looking face or a change that makes everyone ask, “What have you had done?”
What they want is much simpler and, at the same time, much more important: they want to feel good about the way they look again.
They want to look in the mirror and see a fresher, more rested and harmonious version of themselves. They want to restore some of the volume that time has gradually changed and feel cared for by a professional who listens before recommending anything.
For me, that is where true aesthetics begins.
Not with a syringe.
Not with a trend.
It begins with a conversation.
1. When Taking care of myself becomes a priority too.
My face has changed, but I still want to look like myself
As we reach a certain stage in life, we begin to notice changes that we may not have seen before.
The cheeks can lose some of their volume, lines may become more visible around the mouth, certain areas can appear less defined and our face may sometimes look tired even when we have had enough rest.
Many women say to me:
“Vasilica, I don’t want to look younger at any cost. I just want to look better.”
That sentence perfectly sums up the way I approach aesthetic treatments.
Dermal fillers can help restore lost volume, improve certain facial contours and create a more balanced appearance. The purpose of a good treatment should not be to erase our story or chase an impossible version of youth. Instead, it should respect the proportions and natural characteristics of each individual face.
At my aesthetics clinic in Dukinfield, I want every woman to feel comfortable saying:
“I want to do something for myself.”
Without guilt.
Because investing time and care in our own wellbeing should not feel like a luxury reserved only for special occasions.
Taking care of ourselves can also play an important role in our confidence, emotional wellbeing and the way we present ourselves to the world.
Whether I am a homemaker, a working woman or a professional, my time matters too
In Tameside, I meet women with completely different lives.
Some have spent many years looking after their families. Others combine motherhood with demanding working days. I also welcome professional women who spend long hours in front of computers, attending meetings, dealing with clients or building their own businesses.
Their stories may be different, but there is something I hear again and again: they have become used to putting themselves last.
After finishing work.
Solving family problems.
Paying the bills.
After organising the holidays.
Everything else.
Until one day, they decide they would also like to reserve a little space for themselves.
That is why I believe it is so important to have a local aesthetics clinic where women can experience professional and personalised care without feeling rushed or overlooked.
Being based in Dukinfield means I can welcome women from across Tameside and surrounding areas without them necessarily having to travel into central Manchester for personalised aesthetic treatment.
For me, those minutes a woman reserves in her diary are not simply “an aesthetics appointment”.
They are her time.
And I want that time to feel valuable.
I want to rejuvenate my appearance, not change my identity
There is one concern I hear very often:
“What if I end up looking like someone else?”
It is a completely understandable concern.
Social media has made us familiar with exaggerated transformations and treatments that can sometimes create an unrealistic perception of what aesthetic medicine should look like.
My philosophy is different.
I aim for natural-looking results that work with the characteristics of each woman’s face.
For example, when I treat the cheeks, I am not simply thinking about “adding volume”. I look at how that volume relates to the rest of the face.
When treating marionette lines, I consider the area around the mouth as well as the overall facial expression.
And when a woman is considering treatment across several areas, we first need to establish what she genuinely needs.
Because more product does not automatically mean a better result.
The best treatment is the one that has a clear reason behind it.
2. My first appoinment : the questions I want you to feel comfortable asking.
“I’ve never had anything done before. What will happen when I arrive?”
Perhaps you have spent several months searching for dermal fillers in Tameside.
You read information.
Look at photographs.
You close the page.
Then you search again.
You speak to a friend about it.
And you still have not booked.
I understand.
Visiting an aesthetics clinic for the first time can create more uncertainty than many people admit.
Will they try to sell me treatments?
It hurt?
They recommend too much?
It look obvious?
Can I go back to work afterwards?
Do I actually need filler?
That is precisely why I believe your consultation should feel like a conversation, not a sales appointment.
I want to understand what you see when you look in the mirror.
What concerns you.
What result you are hoping for.
Which treatments you may have had previously.
And, just as importantly, what you do NOT want.
From there, we can discuss the options that may be suitable for you.
We should also review relevant aspects of your medical history and discuss what you may experience after treatment.
Dermal fillers are aesthetic injectable treatments, and it is important to understand that temporary swelling, sensitivity or bruising can occur.
Every woman deserves to feel properly informed before making her decision.
There should never be pressure.
You can ask questions.
Think about it.
Decide that now is not the right time.
That is also part of professional care.
Which dermal filler treatment might be right for me?
Every face deserves an individual assessment.
Within our dermal filler treatments, there are several options available depending on your concerns and the result you would like to achieve.
Our Marionette Line treatment is designed to soften the lines that extend downwards from the mouth and improve the appearance of this area. The appointment lasts approximately one hour and is currently priced at £180.
For women who feel that their cheeks have lost definition or volume, we offer Cheek Enhancement.
This treatment is designed to add definition and support greater facial harmony. The appointment lasts approximately 30 minutes and costs £200.
We also offer options for women who may benefit from treating several areas of the face.
Our 3 ml Dermal Filler Package costs £300 and takes approximately one hour. It can be considered when a more complete rejuvenation approach across different facial areas may be appropriate following consultation.
For a more comprehensive approach, we also offer our 4 ml Dermal Filler Package at £320, with an appointment time of approximately one hour.
However, I want to emphasise something important.
You should not arrive saying:
“I want 4 ml because it works out cheaper.”
First, we look at your face.
Then we decide what makes sense.
My job is not simply to use product.
My job is to understand when to use it, where to use it and why.
What happens afterwards, and what about my future appointments?
Another common concern appears after treatment.
“What happens now?”
For me, aesthetic care does not end when a client walks out of the clinic.
After your treatment, it is important to follow the aftercare guidance provided during your appointment and observe how the treated area settles.
Any unexpected symptoms or concerns should always be discussed with the practitioner responsible for your treatment, particularly following injectable procedures.
I also believe it is important not to fall into a cycle of constantly having treatments simply because you feel that “it must be time again”.
Your next appointment should respond to a genuine need.
Perhaps you only require a review.
Maybe you are completely happy and do not want anything else for some time.
Or perhaps, later on, you may decide that there is another area you would like to discuss.
All of those choices are completely valid.
I want to create long-term relationships based on trust, professional judgement and realistic expectations, rather than turning every visit into an opportunity to sell another treatment.
For many women, knowing this can completely change the way they feel about visiting an aesthetics clinic.
They stop feeling like consumers buying treatments.
Instead, they feel like clients being guided through a personal decision with care and professional support.
3. A new way to think about aesthetics in Tameside: Fewer “treatments”, more personal planning.
My proposal: create your own Facial Confidence Plan
I want to take the way we care for our clients one step further.
That is why I would like to introduce an experience that could become one of the defining differences at Vasilica Manchester Aesthetics:
The Facial Confidence Plan.
I do not want you to come in simply asking:
“How much does filler cost?”
I would rather help you answer a far more meaningful question:
What does my face genuinely need in order to look fresher, more balanced and naturally rejuvenated over the coming months?
The Facial Confidence Plan would begin with a personal assessment of your main concerns, priorities, lifestyle and budget.
Together, we could identify three clear goals.
For example:
Restore definition.
Improve a tired appearance.
Maintain natural-looking results.
We could then organise the available options according to priority.
The interesting part is that we would not necessarily do everything.
In fact, one of the most important principles could be:
only treat what genuinely adds value to your appearance.
That changes the entire aesthetic experience.
You are no longer coming in looking for “3 ml”.
You are coming in looking for a result.
Your budget deserves to be part of the conversation too
Talking about money should not feel uncomfortable.
Many women have family responsibilities, mortgages, children, holidays, professional expenses or simply different financial priorities.
An aesthetic treatment should be something you choose because you want it and because it fits comfortably within your circumstances, never because someone has emotionally pressured you into making a decision.
That is why I believe the Facial Confidence Plan could include different levels of treatment.
One woman may decide to begin by treating only her marionette lines for £180.
Another may feel that restoring cheek definition is her main priority and choose Cheek Enhancement for £200.
In other situations, following professional assessment, we may consider the 3 ml package for £300 or the advanced 4 ml package for £320 when a more complete facial approach is appropriate.
This way, you can understand the options and costs before deciding.
No surprises.
Rush.
Feeling that you need to do everything immediately.
Because a premium experience does not necessarily mean spending more.
It means feeling that every decision has a purpose.
The real luxury is making time for yourself again
If you have read this far, perhaps this article has not told you anything completely new about your face.
Perhaps it has simply reminded you of something about yourself.
How long has it been since you reserved an hour purely for the way you want to feel?
Not as a mother.
A wife.
An employee.
A businesswoman.
As the person who is always solving everyone else’s problems.
Simply as you.
You do not have to decide today that you want a treatment.
You can begin much earlier than that.
Start by asking questions.
Tell me what concerns you when you look in the mirror.
Tell me what kind of result you would like to achieve and exactly what makes you nervous.
From there, we can decide together whether dermal fillers are appropriate for you.
Book your first conversation with me
If you live in Dukinfield, Ashton-under-Lyne, Hyde, Stalybridge, Denton, Audenshaw or elsewhere in Tameside, I would like to suggest something very simple:
do not book a treatment first; book the opportunity to understand what may genuinely suit your face.
You can begin with a consultation, explore the options available to you and understand what may work best before making any decision.
And if you then decide that the time feels right, we can create a treatment plan where the goal is not to make people think:
“She’s had something done.”
I want something better than that.
I want people to look at you and think:
“She looks really well.”
But above all, I want you to be the first person who thinks it.
Book your consultation with Vasilica Manchester Aesthetics today and take the first step towards your own Facial Confidence Plan.
Because perhaps you do not need to change your face.
Perhaps you simply need to give the woman looking back at you in the mirror the same care and attention you have spent years giving to everyone else.
Take that first step today with your own facial confidence plan. Your face will still be yours; my job is to help you feel even more confident in it.
